Marengo students will be running in the annual Jogathon fundraiser on the morning of Friday, March 10. We are so excited to share that all parents are welcome to come watch their students run this year!
Please be on the look out for an email from your room parent with instructions on how to collect donations for the laps your student runs, the schedule of when classes will be running, and also for how to signup to volunteer to tally laps for your class.

We are so excited that we will be back performing in person this year! Performances will be March 17th & 19th. You can learn all about the talent show by watching the information presentation.
Sign Ups open on Wednesday, January 25 at 7PM and close on Friday, February 3rd at 8pm.
This year we are celebrating the Year of the Rabbit. As participants walk through the Race trail, they will receive treats and giveaways from South Pasadena community organizations, Mandarin DI classrooms and other sponsors while learning about the significance of the twelve zodiac animals.
There will be lunch, boba drinks and dessert boxes available for pre-order. Look out for lion dancers, performers and a big slide!
Admission for adults is FREE, but please register for timed entry. Please select the time slot you want at Registration. Due to limited capacity, admission is not guaranteed if you do not pre-register.
Admission for kids 12 and under is $5 if pre-ordered by February 12, Admission for kids at the gate is $7*.
On the week of December 12th, please join us every day at pickup for our annual Book Fair

On Friday from 12:45pm to 2:15pm
A great opportunity to support our school library, shop holiday gifts and stock up on books before the winter break!
Our opening night will take place on Monday December 12th from 5:30 to 7:30pm with a night filled with holiday treats and surprises.

We are happy to announce the return of the Pumpkin Patch/Movie Night on Friday, October 21. Come out and buy a pumpkin or two and stay for dinner and a movie! Please note: dinner is pre-order only and will be available starting at 5:30 p.m. Concessions and drinks will also be available to purchase that evening. All proceeds will go to the Fifth Grade Promotion.

Mrs. Cheadle, Mrs. Fong, and Mrs. Wong recently hosted a PTA Parent Ed Night: ROAR Through the Grades, where they discussed the developmental progress of students at each grade level in the areas of: academics, social emotional, and behavior. They're at it again and gearing up to host the ROAR Through the Grades: DI Edition!
Our annual Read-a-thon supports the mission of our school by encouraging a love of reading and good reading habits, while at the same time raising money to benefit the entire Marengo community. Our goal this year is to read 650,000 minutes and raise $15,000 as a school from October 1-21!

It’s time for the Mid-Autumn Festival! Also known as the Moon Festival, it is a traditional celebration in Chinese and other Asian cultures.
Throughout the week, our librarian extraordinaire, Mrs Becker, will be be reading and highlighting books surrounding the history and tradition of the Moon Festival, and on Friday, our PTA is gifting each classroom a box of Cantonese-style mooncakes for the students to enjoy.
